Leaders in Arkansas have fought hard to rebrand the state as friendly for teachers, and their efforts are paying off. Elementary school teachers are among the top 10 fastest growing professions in the state, thanks to policies that create a welcoming classroom environment.
To promote effective learning practices, Arkansas lawmakers place limits on the number of students per teacher in the classroom. As teachers in other states contend with classrooms of 30 or more students, you’ll never have more than 23 in each class.
That gives teachers more time to work individually with students on the subject matter, rather than waste time attempting to manage an unruly classroom.
